For Seniors

Mission Hospitals takes great pride in providing excellent health care for our senior citizens. In fact, Mission has received national attention for its exceptional medical services.

Modern Maturity magazine ranks Asheville as one of the top five "most alive places to live." Money magazine lists our city as one of the top five places to retire. Both noted the availability of outstanding health care as a deciding factor in their rankings.

Mission offers several quality services and programs for seniors, with more in development. Notable programs include:

  • Golden Care - a membership program that provides medical claim filing assistance, predictable out-of-pocket hospital costs, and priority check-in at Mission
  • Lifeline - a 24-hour home monitoring service for those who live independently but may need assistance in case of an emergency
  • Health Education Programs - helping area seniors remain active and well-informed about their health
  • Volunteering Opportunities - providing seniors with rewarding work throughout Mission
